audi s3 8l sump bash plate

Any recommendations , steel / alloy supply etc ?

Tnx -G,

SEAT sport sumps have a thick plate welded on them as do the ones AKS supply

Ive see adverts , for what look like , steel replacements for the under engine guard - any use i wonder ?

on different wavelength , What i am seeing is a metal / steel formed guard , that mounts , under the engine bay , dished shell , as big as a old bin lid

That type of sump guard is for rally cars that are jacked up... it will sit lower than the sump (by design) it hit everything in the road...

If you are worried about being so low to hit the sump then get the baffled one

rally sport .. usually titanium ... something like this > https://www.sump-guard.co.uk/steel-sump-guard-for-audi-a3-1996-2003

The 'original' skid plate is the Diesel Geeks Panzer Plate

Too low and weights 11+Kg; no good for a rally car

the shallow sump does shave about 50mm iirc of the bottom of the engine
does take it the sump of the chinning zone
egine raiser blocks can also be used (25mm lift)

fwiw vag factory built rally pq34 cars raised the engine; used a shallow dry sump; added extra subframe under the engine
