Boot lid won't open.

First noticed that my boot would release using the remote fob, or the drivers door button.....After messing around for a bit scratching my head went to start her up and I've had warnings lights on the dash for failed left rear fog, right rear fog, and numberplate lights....... any ideas thanks

@Dani_B19 is you man for this.....he had all these problems.

I take it that yours is a Saloon?

The wires snap where they come out of the boot and into the boot lid. Easy fix.

Classic snapped Earth wire.

You need to pop the boot open, take the interior panel off, pull the rubber boot out on the boot lid and on the chassis, you'll then see a fat brown wire that will be snapped in several places. In my case it was 3 I believe, clean the ends up and solder in some fresh wire. Bit of heat wrap and you'll be good to go.

Reassemble and enjoy.

Now all that's presuming you get the boot lid open, if not I hope you have folding rear seats or your in trouble.

Thanks for the replies guys!...... you's where rite it was a snapped wire 10 min fix. Scratching my head for a good hour yesterday and it turned out to be a daft wire thanks.
