Isle of Wight Holiday

Thinking of going to the Isle of Wight for a week at the end of May - anyone got any recommendations or advice?

Taking my two year old boy and pregnant wife so was thinking of a chalet or static but not sure where.

Havent been there since I was a kid and the only thing I remember is Blackgang Chine...

I've been there the last two years for the IoW festival (although I'm not going this year due to the crappy line up). It's a lovely part of the country with some gorgeous scenery. Have only really seen Cowes and Newport; Cowes mostly seemed to be a port but Newport's nice enough. Good pubs!

I went there as a kid, stayed in a haven holiday park in sandown. went everywhere on the island, shanklin, ryde, needles, ventnor...etc.

was excellent.
