Gears not engaging

Hi guys,

having issues with my gearbox in my 2009 1.4 A3, had my gearbox rebuilt last December and all has been fine but was driving yesterday and 1st gear would not engage so after limping it home in second as far as I could the other gears slowly went. Theres no oil leaks or any visible damage, the gearbox isn't making any crunching noises or anything like that. I've already tried adjusting the selector cables (Alan key through the hole under the boot then pull the springs back etc) has anybody got any other solutions or is there a common problem that ive missed ?

Sounds like a selector problem, 8l s used to have rivets snap and selector forks drop into the bottom of the box, usually first and second gear, you would do well to go back to whoever rebuilt your box and have them sort it out.
