Now i can safely say i have checked all off the site and have found answers to this question but they all relate to the Sportback model 4 switches.
Now i have doorcards from a later model off A3 than the S3 i have and i have removed all i needed to, so i could access the plastic part that the Switches are housed in but i am unable to get the switch module out off this plastic part ( see pic's ) and i wonder if anyone out there who is old enough to remember if this part is one unit ( cause 3dr ) or does it come apart and if it comes apart how the **** do you do it cause i have literally tried everything plastic tools screw drivers etc and it wont budge.
Now the other thing i am wondering will these switches come out off the plastic in a 2009 S3 as i haven't removed these yet from my car . Any help on any part off this post would be helpful cheers

Does the the side view show four little metal tags? If so then you insert thin plastic bodywork tools into the two slots on the underneath of the switch (just above the label in your second pic). You should see the cut outs. What this does is free those two metal clips and while the tools are still in there push the switch down from the top ( it will move down and out at an angle) and the other metal clips will move into the bit you are holding apart with the tools. That's how it worked for me but you do so at your own risk of course.
Hope that helps.
