Been reading a few posts on here about remapping the 3.0tdi engine fitted with the S Tronic gearbox and read about the 600nm torque limit but also read that there were a few versions and some have been mapped to over 700nm without issue but didn't see reference to telling what type you have fitted and what torque each is safe with, can anyone enlighten me?

Cheers

Via your gearbox code then see what the internet has to say about it.

If you pass me your reg i can find out for you.

If you posted in the correct forum for your car then its the 0B5 DL501. The rating is 600Nm, but that is at 9000rpm. There's no data on what the rating is at whatever rpm the peak torque of a tuned 3.0TDI occurs at, however its clearly going to be a fair bit more than 600Nm. There are enough tuned 3.0TDIs about to have good confidence that the 'box can handle the torque.

Thanks

This is from the front of the service book

Couldn't find the gearbox code listed on the website I was searching on.
