S3 Paddles

I’ve just bought a 2014 PFL S3 and it has a strange issue where the upsift paddle does not work when the lights are on. Lights off and it’s fine. Bit of an odd fault and was jus wondering if anyone has encountered the same? I will plug it in tomorrow at work but I doubt there will be any faults logged in any of the systems.

Lights as in headlights or internal lights??

The headlights. Any position apart from lights completely off and the up paddle doesn’t work. How the two are related I can’t see. I’m guessing a software issue of some kind.

The paddles have a backlight that switches off if the headlight switch is off

Yeah thanks I've realised that this morning. I am getting a fault code in the can gateway system for an internal fault on the upshift paddle that wont clear when the lights are on. I've ordered a new unit this morning so hopefully that's that.

Probably a short somewhere in the unit or the multi plugs.
