Hi, I'm trying to remove the humidity sensor in my a3 so I can replace it with a light/rain sensor but it seems to be stuck to the glass, I removed the metal clip but it's still not budging. is there any special way to remove it, I think I've already broken it as the plastic cover has come off.

When I had my windscreen replaced, the new one already had the unit attached. So my bet is that it is not designed to come off.

It’s stuck on with a gel pad, you’ll need to remove this after pulling the sensor off. The part of the exposed screen will have to be pristine before you attach the new sensor and gel pad or Your sensor will think it’s rain, even with the slightest spec of dust.

Must be absolutely pristine

Any tips on removing it? I tried but I almost snapped the sensor in half, the gelpad has it stuck in there good.
