Egr cleaner

Ordered bottle wynns egr cleaner just as a preventative measure really.

Any1 used it was going to take it off and clean egr (2.0 tdi 143bhp 2012 85k) but looks a lot harder then older versions.

Will it cause any damage to car ?

Remove and soak in petrol over night

Used it a few țimes, good stuff.

on my astra cdti I used carb & coke cleaner from the £ shop. EGR was dead easy to remove

Thanks guys no real problem with egr just preventive measure really and the newer egr looks pig to get out

I replaced my thermostat today and removed the egr and gave that a good clean, I couldn’t see how any sprays would get rid of the crud I had!
I had to hack at the carbon build up with a screwdriver then used abit of petrol and an old tooth brush!!

Scraping large pieces then soaking in petrol makes it come out new
