Hey folks, probably been asked before - Can you actually set the steering stops on the Audi where YOU want them - NOT where the 'electronic brain' wants them?
I ask because I know that on my car it is turning too far - This is causing the top suspension arms (mine are adjustable) to be forced hard against each other on full wheel lock. The result of this is that the ball joint rubber boots keep getting holed due to the abrasion.
I've tried the prescribed adjustment procedure (lock to lock) but even if I stop the steering wheel turns BEFORE reaching full lock it clearly doesn't save the setting as it makes no difference to the problem.
Anyone have any ideas?
