Engine warning light - best ODBII device?

Hi

I have an Audi B9 2016 - one of the first to post on this forum

My engine orange warning light has just come on - not flashing. Last week I was asked to come in for an MMI update - something I think called 9LF. when I drove away and checked the MMI version was still on the original version number when I bought the car. So got a bad feeling what this actual update was now.

I know you can read your own fault codes using ODBII - i bought a device when I first got my car but was really limited and since lost it. What is the best ODBII device now considered for Audi A4 B9 ?

Best? The Ross-Tech VCDS probably ....

Best is VCDS as said, but OBDEleven is a good bit of kit too. If getting the latter, get the Pro version
