Exhaust temperature sensor

Hi, has anybody changed the exhaust temp sensor on a Audi A3 8p 2.0 diesel? If so, how. Thanks

Did you get anywhere with this? I have a problem with my car that is going in to a hidden limp mode (no dash lights but loses power), and I've narrowed it down to EGT Sensor that is erratic, and shows 1000c or 1024c during limp mode periods.

It's in the exhaust manifold just under the turbo it's tricky to get on I would suggest making sure this is your issue as I have known theses th snap in the manifold and that a a whole different job

It depends which sensor it is, there are 2 or 3 different ones at different places on the exhaust.
Might be better to get a garage to do it as they can snap when trying to get them out

Unplug the suspect sensor connector and confirm on VCDS it has changed to a default value to make sure you have removed the right one.

so easy to pick at the wrong one
