So i searched the forums and think i have my answer but just want confirmation before i make a mistake!

I have a 2018 S3 with rear brake pads down to around 3mm. I was quoted about £125 to replace them which i laughed at as i have changed pads before. That was before i learnt about cars with an EPB...

I was just trying to saving some money and thought my DIY job would involve some grease and new pads but due to the EPB figure i have to invest in a diagnostic tool to release and then reset the piston (taking me over the £125 quoted if i invest in the tool). I doubt i will have use for the tool again FYI

Am i right or have i misread something. Sorry if this has been answered a million times before!
Thanks,Dan

To be honest £125 to supply and fit your Brakes seems fair really especially if they Genuine VW

also if you have experience you can remove the epb motor from caliper - unwind caliper , do brake pads wind up caliper and refit the motor
