inspection notice

car is telling me it needs 'inspec'

How do you clear this?

This comes on when the car is needing a service. Check your owners manual it should let you know what should be getting done and what should be getting done at the milage.

Is it an IN1 or IN2 message?

i know what it means!

it is saying oil, then changes to serv

The services have been done by me / mates. how do i turn the notification off.

in your owners manual it tells you how to zero it. i cant remember exactly but i think you turn the ignition on while pulling or pushing the right hand reset button on the binacle. check your manual; if you dont have one i will pop it up later when i get in from work. (unless someone beats me to it...)

Some it doesnt work on. Mine doesnt work so i need to use my VAG-COM.

Pre-facelift cars have to be VAG-Com'd, the manual tells you nothing other than get Audi to do it.
The pulling and pressing the DIS stalks doesn't work on a pre-facelift B5.
