ABS Heat Shield

Hello everyone!
I wanna ask a quick question about ABS.
In A3 TDI, ABS pump is located behind the engine. Recently I have noticed that my ABS heat shield is missing.
Is it fine to keep it like that? Or maybe better to get a reflective tape?

It was designed to be there for a reason so replace it, if the brakes fail due to a heavy right foot you’ll be a little upset and a few £ lighter after

Will definitely do sth about it. I have to find a breaker car to get the part of, but for now i will use reflective tape
