Hi all,

Have an 09 A3 2.0tdi DSG as my daily commute car. I had an instant a few months ago in torrential rain where it was fine on the motorway, as soon as I got into the city the gearbox was really jerky. As soon as I stopped the engine stalled and every time I started it, it would stall. Managed to park up for a few hours and started it again but it stalled again. It was fine after a few goes and managed to make my 100mile journey home. Left the car for a few days and it's been working absolutely fine since.

Now I cleaned the car a few days ago (haven't used it since) went out to get some food and it's done the same thing again. It drove fine once I was on my way home.

I've plugged in obd11 and there are no fault codes. Which leads me to believe there's water getting in somewhere causing the gearbox to stall and be jerky, has anyone experienced this before or should I just take it to a garage and get it diagnosed?

Thanks
