Help Please MMI Screen Differences

Good afternoon,
Can anybody tell me if there are any differences in the MMI 3G Low/Basic screens?

I’ve seen some with the first two digits different to mine and I’m wondering if these numbers refer to the model of Audi the screen was fitted to?

Mine is from a 2010 Audi A4 and my part number is 8T0919604, but I’ve seen others prefixed with 4L or 8R instead of 8T; with these still be suitable as a direct replacement?

You are correct The first 2 letter say what model it is fitted to. So not always interchangeable.

Most times but not all times. Many parts are shared.

@soulsurfer - do you need a replacement for your own or are you upgrading?

no you have Concert headunit, no MMI at all.

Well, for some reason I haven’t been getting notifications of any replies on any topics

Anyway, this was the problem with my screen…

I wasn’t upgrading so I replaced it with a 4L0919604 which was considerably cheaper than the 8T0 model and it’s now working perfectly…
