It has ran for 5 years and always strated like a dream until recently.

When the engine is cold it is very hard to start, if I unplug the temperature sender it would start straight away, but now it takes 5-10 seconds to start, however with the temp sender plugged in it takes about 30 secs of cranking to start

I scanned for fault codes and it came up with:

0522 - Engine Coolant Temperature sender (G62)

30-00 - Open or Short to Plus

I've since changed the temperture sender and not got the fault code any more, but still the issue continues

Glow plugs were changed about 6 months ago and I've checked the resistance and they are all good.

What should I look at next?

Many thanks

Andy
