Your main thing to check will be:
How has the speedo been converted to MPH - done properly or just an adaptor to change the numbers on the dials to mph?
Japanese cars don't tend to have the underbody protection UK supplied cars have so you'll need to check this and factor in the cost to prevent corrosion
The audio unit, has it been reprogrammed for UK bands? Come to think of it, has the car been coded to the UK full stop?
An import will cost more to insure and be worth less (in the case of a model already available in the UK)
Given that there's plenty for sale out there (of varying quality), this would have to be a unicorn in my opinion to consider.
