Hi, after a bit of help please.

Our 2010 2.0 TDIe 136kw CAGB has started making a screeching noise from cold which suddenly stops after about 1 minute of running - has anyone got any ideas what it could be please?

Video from the doorbell showing the noise (and it lasting 1 minute or so from engine start) here:

It makes the absolute racket for about a minute from start and then you can hear it just suddenly stops while the engine drops to normal noise levels.

I've seen mention of a secondary air injection pump on the 2.7s which has similar symptoms and not sure if that was something fitted to the 2.0TDIs.

It's not raising any codes in VCDS other than the underboost problem the car currently has which it's still waiting to be sorted (hoping it's a split boost hose / intercooler but we'll see). The first garage that had a go were beyond ***** and it took them six weeks just to get the turbo back on after a refurb.

Not sure if it's pulleys, belts or what making this noise - it's really loud and at a guess I'd say it's coming from back left of the engine bay. It just seemed to start out of nowhere.

Going to ring a few local garages but majority seem to be taking bookings for a few weeks in so just trying to work out if this is ok to drive short distances in the interim please.

Thanks in advance for any pointers!
