Hi guys I'm embarking on rebuilding a s3 that's been stood in a bush for 5/6 years unloved and untouched..
Would anyone be interested in seeing the progress as we go??

Sorry for the inactivity guys I'll post pics and progress updates this weekend but iv been hard at it and it's almost there.

Wel it takes a brave man WITH MONEY & compentancy in most garage activities to rebuild that as no doubt this will end up costing a lot of time, effort & money.
I presume you are planning on keeping it for a very long time once complete.

Me seeing that stood in a bush for 5/6 years unloved and untouched..I would have run a mile away.

I love a challenge mate and yes it's taken a lot of time and effort but it's all been fun with the very understanding wife helping alot lol.
 
Well guys iv been busy with the widebodied s3 on and off completely striped the floor back to bare metal and treated any rust. straightening out all the dents.(big job lol).New fuel/brake lines.
Iv also replaced all coilover suspension.polybushed the front end with poweflex bush's.striped all the wheel archs bk to bare metal and painted white.
Plus lots more stuff.ill take some photos when I'm back in the workshop some time this week if you guys still want to see her?.
Plus I'm looking for a couple of bits if anyone's braking a s3 8l please let me know

There's a definite ommission of photos for this build / restore thread.. I do like a white audi

Well I didn't think I'd be doing this so soon and it's unfortunate that I might have to sell the widebodied s3.
If anyone's interested please let me know
 
Well panic averted guy the s3 is staying with me......iv been busy striping the **** poor paint on the roof today its taken a lot of time but I'm getting her ready for paint then the wife can do the graphic design.

Always interested in these posts and I have a little bit of rust on the roof rails and a pillars so once you are finished and need some extra cash you could tackle mine perhaps - i am serious by the way ;)

Well a little update on the s3 rebuild.
Today my wife took on the door cards for me she's completely striped the upholstery and refoamd and cut new leather..whilst iv done the simple part and fitted x4 new tyres.265,30,19.shes getting very close to mot now guys

Another day on the s3 today guys today's task was getting on with the roof paint so fully sanded bk to original paint then primed and a first coat of gloss black

Well another weekend in the workshop with the s3.todays task was getting the first coat of paint on the roof so right bk to bare metal prime and first coat of gloss black

Looks like your getting there, I have a ming blue S3 on the drive I started a couple of years ago but still need to finish. It’s got some rust bubbles round the gutter rail at the rear same as yours. I will get round to it at some point :). Keep up the work though
 
She's rolling guys.ill hopefully get her in for mot Saturday morning please keep your fingers crossed for me lol
