Help CVT gearbox !!

I’ve noticed a noise that’s started , I bought the car 2 days ago and started to notice a noise , it has got a binding service break so it could be that. But I have also read that the CVT gearboxes are trash so I hope the noise ain’t coming from that . It’s an Audi A4 b8 2009 , 2.7 V6 with a CVT multitronic

Difficult to tell. Before jumping to conclusions with the gearbox, rule out binding first. Jack up each wheel and spin. It does sound metallic, and could be as simple as a brake dust shield pressing against the brake disc.
