Hi This just started yesterday. The temperature gauge needle starts to go down but if you stop the car turn the ignition off the turn the key again the needle goes straight back upto the normal point (90). it never goes up just drops then goes back up. the heaters keep blowing out hot air so i'm wondering if its a sensor or something that i can replace ? the car seems to be running ok. can anyone shed any light? that would be great. Ps i'm not a mechanic so laymans terms would be great cheers.

For the cost of them, I'd stick a new sender in it. Fitted in the water pipe/outlet from the head above the gear linkages. A 10 minute job. Get a new O ring as well.
