door handle packed in?

it unlocks but the handle wont open the door from the outside
the inside one works,

any common faults? will be looking at it tomorow

Theres usually some kinda metal rod that goes between the handle and the lock mechanism, perhaps its just come off.

ill have a look tomorow. cant belive it did it totally random, worked fine then just stopped

on the most golfs ,passats, a4s etc if the door cable to the interior handle is not properly clicked into its seat it will just open from inside but not from outside .it had a plastic end which seats in a half moon thing and has a metal reinforcment clip to hold it there . It may have worked loose some how

erm, went out to it this morning and its erm heald itself.....

you may of pulled handle too quickly before the locking pump had activated properly and caused a problem or may just need mech lubricating

well the door catch is on its way i think

didnt think it would affect the handle

but i try'd i through out the day and it was still inoperative
and now it works. really strange
