maybe this is quite well known but this morning i was behind a car when i indicated and noticed the leds go "less bright" when indicating, but only on the side of the indicator? does everyones do this?

Yes, the DRL's all dim on one side when the respective indicator is on. Its so the indicator can be seen more easily.

This feature can be disabled with VCDS.
