Hi everyone

I have a small problem with turning off the ignition on my A3 2.0TDI DSG. When I stop, I press and hold the brake pedal, apply the handbrake and move the selector lever to the P position. I then turn the key to turn off the ignition. Sometimes (about 25%) the key moves to the able to remove position and the rest of the time it turns the ignition off but I cannot remove the key. I then have to turn the ignition on again and then turn it off and I can remove the key OK.

Does anyone else with a DSG box get the same problem ?

Thanks

Nope, my A3 2.0TDi SE DSG has not suffered this problem.

My car was looked at by my dealer today and it has a faulty steering column lock. They have ordered a new one and it will be fitted on Saturday.

At the same time they are also going to change the code on the door locking to automatically lock above 15 mph.
