@RS03??? - Small Update - Dealer tells me I’m now Status 38 - Port of Exit.
Question - Sound like a good thing and it’s sitting in Emden?

Update on mine. Due for delivery on Wednesday but looking at collection early next week as the detailer can’t start on it until Thursday.

Congratulations. Bet you’re over the moon. Quick question……do you know what the timings were from when your car arrived at Emden to getting on the boat, to the UK and then on to the dealer? Mine is currently Status 38 so has arrived in Emden.

I’ve heard that JLR are charging customers who ordered pre price rise anywhere up to 18% more on their orders even though theyve paid a deposit up front!
If Audi suddenly take this approach, i’ll cancel my order and i will be gutted.

Never heard of this ....besides when the price increase was about to come into play the salesman told me straight price would be the price l paid and signed for no increases

A friend at work is on the JLR forums and people are in uproar over it. People have consulted solicitors but it’s water tight in JLR’s contract. The deposit is to the dealership to put your name on the list allegedly. When the car goes to build they are having to pay the inflated price!

I can see JLR having a lot of very expensive car's left in their holding lots

Yeah I paid the a small deposit and signed the paperwork for the finance when I put the order in before the rises Shocking from JLR

Could it possibly have been a last minute cancelled order?
1) Yes and possibly a quick way to make extra margin instead of selling at the initial price,
2) Some dealers pre-ordered the cars for themselves when the books opened, knowing it will sell and still make a huge margin.

common theme: maximise margin.

The thing is about trying to make money though, most of these cars aren’t selling due to the daft prices. The one I’ve been looking at in Notts has been on for 3 months, started at 74k I think, down 66.5k today and still not shifting. On the dealer finance it’s still 10% deposit and £1000 a month, it’s absolutely bonkers to think you’ll sell that car at that price.

Yes its totally bonkers and becoming more and more unlikely, with everything going up and to make a purchase of this type easily affordable. Unless its offset by the extra made from the previous car, which was the case with me,

Given May and especially June and July are down months in the car business this also could be a reason why cars are slow to move there is always someone out there who'll buy these cars especially when they drop in price a bit....but interest rates are the biggest hurdle to get over

Well that’s my car technically delivered, although the detailer now has it until early next week.

Much is he taking and is it just a new car detail plus a ceramic?

Do the individuals who have a deposit placed pay the same interest rate as to when the car was ordered or do we pay the inflated interest price that has since risen with Audi finance?

I think the interest rate has always been the same 6-5% or something like that for RS cars l remember back in 2015 the interest rate on my first S3 was 6'7% and then in 2017 my 2nd S3 was 4-3% ....l honestly don't what the actual rate is now

My understanding is no price change. I was "hurried up" to place my order on the basis it would beat the price rise.

So when i ordered it was 6.4% but when the price increase in December came, interest rose with it to 6.7%

Same, looking at the finance calculator it’s 6.74% now but my car was 58k vs. About 61k if I ordered today

I just heard today my car - ordered on LAUNCH DAY has moved from week 36 to week 3 of 2023... so don't expect a car anytime soon. I have had an LE for a couple of months now and I am very happy I have it considering the delay. I would be very unhappy now if I didn't have it.

I know the feeling my build week went from week 28 of 2022 and is now week 02 of 2023. I was hoping for it sooner as due to spinal issues I am now unable to drive the car I currently have as it’s a manual and it’s extremely painful to press the clutch. Luckily my wife can drive it, but I only go as a passenger in emergencies as I’m a terrible passenger lol .
