Apex springs are decent and not bank busting money. Also AP do some well some well priced full kits. It is a good idea to replace the dampers as well particularly on older cars.
We are now UK distributors for RaceMax spacers. They are awesome quality without the silly prices some seem to ask for them.
A set of 20mm hubcentric spacers will retail at £59.95 including extended bolts.
One thing they have that others don't is an extended brake disc retainer, so no more...
Sound advice right there.
Pretty much all the reasons why we are moving into a unit are in those few paragraphs. Particularly for older cars which need a thorough checking over before putting more power through them.
300bhp on the stock turbo would be asking for trouble. It isn't worth...
Looks good mate. Leave it a couple of weeks to settle before alignment. Then adjust the front to how you want it before alignment. The rear will come down quite a bit.
I am pretty sure you need the Golf kit.
We sell the Hose Technik kits and they are great. If you were to order a set I would double check with them the hoses we were getting were correct :) I am pretty sure though that the Golf kit is the one you need, they may even be identical.
Plans sound good mate. Take a look at our site for some ideas for mods and prices. I'd also look at upgrading the suspension to something like Bilstein B12's.
Sounds like the Eibach pro kit will be perfect for you then. See here for our prices for these:
Audi - A3 8L (96-03) - Lowering Springs - GNJ Motorsport
I have always fitted either Eibach or H&R springs to my own cars and can't recommend either enough really.
Loads of option here mate
Audi - S3 8L (99-03) - Wheel Spacers - GNJ Motorsport
I'd take a look at the TPI kits. They are great value and we can supply any of the kits with longer bolts.
Yes it is quite straight forward to achieve that power. You want to get one with the either the 150PS DBW engine or the 180PS engine. Both these remap straight to 210bhp with a Shark stage 1 then stage 2 which requires a turbo back exhaust system takes it to around 225bhp.
When you get the car...
