Stoopid Question time...... S4 17" Avus Tyre Size

Currently looking at getting me a set of 17" Avus and having them refurbed.

Would I be right in assuming that the tyre size would be 235/45 17 ?

Looking at fitting these on my little project, 01 X A4 1.8TS Avant auto.

The car had Blown Turbo and I bought it to strip for some bits for my existing 01 X A4 1.8TS Avant manual, but when I saw the car in the flesh, it's too good to strip (bodywork & interior are immaculate), so have me a new turbo, feed & return lines, oil strainer & pump, new breather line, new 710N, New N75 and will be doing a full service on it.

Once all done, probably will sell my existing 1.8TS manual.

think the avus 17" have 225x45x17 where the 18s have the 235x40x18

I have 235/45/17 they look fine, really fill the arch out and they clear ok..1997 A4 1.8t Sport..

225/45r17 is standard on both the S4 and the 1.8TQS

Well now have won me these beasties on ebay last night........

All for the princely sum of £82 !

Just gotta arrange a courier and get them refurbed and shod with new black sticky stuff!!!
