Correct Tyre Size for 17" RS4's

What is the correct tyre size for 17" RS4 alloys?

The tyres that are fitted are 235/45/17.

Compared to the original TDI SE alloys '195' width, these wheels seem to tramline a lot more than expected for a wider tyre.

Wider tyres are more prone to tramlining. Since i fitted my 18's I tramline in places that the 16's never.

I think on a B5 you want 225/45, the B6 or B7's have 235/45 on the S-Line alloys. And yeah, they will tramline, but hey they turn in a lot better!

Yep, 225/45 is the ideal, makes no difference to your speedo etc. You can double check using this calculator.
