Infused Carbon Fibre Parts

Hi,

My friend has been specialising in infused Carbon Fibre parts for the Elise for over a year now is looking to expand into VAG based Cars, as a gauge for demand what sort of items would people be interested in having manufactured, this is genuine Infused Carbon Fibre made to the highest standard and not just wrap or fibre glassed back carbon.

I would love someone to produce a front grille surround in Matt black carbon or just black plastic. You can only buy a replacement in chrome, black paint chips off after a few months and wrapping the surround also gets marked after a similar time.

If it's something original and cool you're looking for, I think lightweight replacement panels in carbon would be absolutely amazing, things like a tail gate, bonnet, or roof skin in carbon would be epic.

However, if you're looking for the product with the greatest demand, then it'll be the tarts that win this one.

Things like centre console facias, boot lock plinths, mirror covers, that kind of thing will have a far greater demand I'd think

i believe that the dash actually weighs quite a bit, so not so tarty but more go than show, more front end weight reduction would be my personal preference.
Thats just for me though and each to there own

Dashboard could be a cool idea, but fairly intricate to make!

Wishbones and subframe however, do not sound like a good idea to me!

engine covers (both uppel and lower), baterry cover, cover for coolant/washer tanks (as its realy hard to get hold of).and + 1 from me on interior parts like centre consoles,dashboard etc..

Thanks for the comments and advice about this not turning into a for sale thread, honestly it is not me and just to gauge interest...which I would say is substantial, I will pass on the feedback, in particular think he will be interested in the under bonnet items and know he has done bonnets and roofs etc for elise's, he might turn down the wishbones though!! Cheers!

i would imagine ££££££££££££££ would have a big impact on what parts people order.

S3 door blades, "A" Pillar covers, Washer bottle cover, S3 rear bumper insert. S3 front bumper lower grills etc. Here hoping your mate can get this up and running at sensible costs, im sure at good pricing theres lots on A-S.N that would be takers.
