didn't want to make a new post, can anyone link me to the forum post (think it was a week or so ago) which was chatting about GFV and how using a non-audi service centre would/could reduce your GFV.

RS owners, can anyone of you please confirm if these are RS alloys before I commit the purchase.

He did it on an exchange basis, so basically if he has the correct wheel in stock you pay for the retrim which was £165 Inc. delivery and a £200 refundable deposit until he receives the old wheel back. All you have then is the return costs of your wheel, so basically £175 all in.
If your are local to Aylesbury then you can collect instead and have him fit it!
Very tempted by this (adds to the ever growing S3 mods list). Aylesbury is about 1hr 10 from me, so not too far. If you swung by could they do it on the day so to speak?

Unfortunately not. There's roughly a 1 to 2 week waiting list and I'm sure you can appreciate it's not a 2 min job so you wouldnt want it rushing even if he could.
Worth the wait though as the Alcantara feels soooo nice in the hands and definitely worth another cheeky pic

Thanks

The 18”s I were similar to these and over £500, I offered £350 and that included the shipping. Was shocked when it came straight back that it was accepted.

This is what they look like:

Drove from Belfast to Dublin yesterday and back in my Stage 3 S3 - managed 32.4mpg over the run with 4 passengers and full boot with a few blasts from toll stations and cruising between 70-80mph

Happy with that for a car with around 500bhp lol

Changed oil pump and put on the iabed oil pan.

Does not come with rtv sealant and three 6x10mm 22mm length bolts needed to secure the oil sensor.

Also made some adapters to put in a new JBL 8 inch 4ohm 810 subwoofer in the parcel shelf and replace the oem one. Sounds much better, would sound alot better with an amp, but I don't want that much bass.

Not having the teacher in the passenger seat will make the biggest difference!

Great news!
Time to pick up all the bad habbits and learn how to really drive (as they say you learn more after you pass the test!)

Ordered this key cover off Ali Express (type in S3 logo key case) it works out at £10 including postage so not too bad, never understood why the key doesn’t come like this as standard!

Received this in the post today and put it on my key, fitting was simple quick 1 minute video on YouTube, same as replacing a battery.

Quality is good on the whole only thing I’d say if I was being really critical is the fit is slightly off, not really noticeable but comparing side by side against an original key, the bottom is a few mm’s to long and there is a slight rise at the top of the key, but to be honest this may bed in when it’s being used. Well worth £10 odd tho. Attached some pictures for reference.

I've watched the YouTube video. It would seem the battery comes out with the cover. Does this mess with the key coding or not?

The car got her winter prep valet on Monday. Today, she was treated to a set of Eibach Pro springs.

Key is slightly different to the one shown on most YouTube videos the battery is held in the main part of the key fob not the cover section you’re removing. My battery didn’t move when I took my cover off and key works as normal :icon thumright:

Gave back the i3 and got my S3 back lol.

The i3 was interesting. Its a ugly car, people give you weird looks. The interior isn't nice either really it's very empty feeling. There's lots of empty space around where you would normally have a gear stick. However there wasn't enough space to get my left foot comfortable.

I actually found the idrive system a bit fiddly.. I preferred my PFL tech pack system.

The car is great for town driving though. There's good visibility out the front, not amazing through the rear view mirror. But there's plenty of power and the acceleration is so smooth and effortless. I only had a mile of dual carriageway but I noticed at 70 mph things become slow. You start counting as the speedo goes up to 80. Naturally the S3 has no problems but comparing it to my 75hp petrol Polo from what I remember it even seemed slow.

The whole experience of the braking when you aren't on the acceraltor is weird. But it makes town driving so easy as you can come to a stop without using a brake.. Come to a stop and take foot off pedals and you would just sit there.
It does take some getting used to.. But the brakes did seem garbage otherwise.

The lack of sound didn't bother me actually. Though in my car I've done mods to make it louder lol.

Interesting experience to drive it for a couple of hours!
