What car did you have before your A3/S3 8V?

Not sure if this has been done before but whilst I am waiting for my S3 to be built I've been wondering what cars you all owned directly before your S3 8V.

I'll start go first despite not technically owning my new S3 yet

Nice enough car, however shortly after ownership things started to fail, so every other week I would be out on my drive with my tools replacing parts and I finally had enough and order the S3.

Great, high revving VTEC motor with a 6 speed stickshift. Cavernous hatch that swallowed all my music gear and weekend bags (I'm a keyboard player). I have to fold down the rear seats in the S3 but oh! that turbo torque makes up for it

Lovely car, sometimes wonder why I chopped it in as it was all paid for and mine. Had loads of torque, looked the b******s and I felt special driving it..oh and always always got over 50mpg !!
Don't quite feel so special driving the S3, although obviously twice as quick! You just don't get to use the power in a day to day basis.
Think I might get a new shape TT next, or a Porsche Boxster/Cayman if I can afford it (doubt it)

Yes guys, can you believe it, I had a a car for 16 years, just sold yesterday to a guy who has his own garage and does them up for general everyday use and the occasional track day.
