I just acquired a 1997 2.8 v6 as a bit of a project (details and build thread coming soon), it's running 034 motorsport cams and a straight through exhaust...
I'm guessing it could benefit from proper mapping to make the most of these mods, but my tuning knowledge is more geared to 1.8t's. . . Being an earlier model it most probably has a slightly more basic ECU? And if it's anything like the me3.8 on the 1.8t then it's likely to be a pain to map properly, unless they're just a pain due to boost control?
As you can tell I have a lot of unknowns here... Basically does anyone know how mappable these are, what I can expect from mapping and who might be best to approach regarding mapping?
