Hi all had my s3 8p for two weeks now and been loving it been running brilliant had it all checked over by a Audi specialist and everything is perfect.

I've done about 500 miles

Today I came out from work - it fired stright up then cut out? Then started up again and cut out and wouldn't start left it for 5 mins it fired up and ran as normal? Did it just have a moment or is there somthing more to it??

You need to check if you have any error codes.

Might be worth checking the battery in your remote fob - do you have another key to try?

I do have another key!

I've got it in the car with me today car started perfectly this morning and ran as it always does! Very strange!?

best to get your car Scanned next time incase it is more off a serious fault than you think .

Thing is if it was a serious fault surely the car would run bad? Or put on a light?

i have a haldex fault which is serious enough it wasn't there 5 days ago then it popped up and then went away but then it has come back so thats why i say if it happened once or twice and has went away and happens to come back again a scan is a good starting point rather than assuming that the problem has been fixed

Ah that sucks what's your issue?

I will get my car plugged in to Vag com

its just a pump problem which reading posts and getting advice it was suggested i get the oil and filter changed not been done since 03/ 16 so be needing by now

it could easy be just a problem associated with your other key , might be worth trying the other key again to see if you get the same problem as you did b4 you changed to the other key

Right
So had my car plugged in to Vag com and the faults that explain the no start.

Fuel pump- electronics defective-intermintant freeze frame.

Low pressure fuel regulation p310b fuel pressure outside spesifactaion.

Lambda sensor internal resistance to high b1 s2

Lambda sensor response to low these faults

The faults with the lambda was a few months back but the fuel pump was right when it happend to me!

Did you keep the scan with the faults you have mentioned here , if so get the faults wiped clean and run car for a day or so to see if the problem comes back.in the mean time ( as i have limited experience ) i would put this post in the VAG section cause someone there might know off a fix but if it was me after clearing faults plus leaving it a day or so and if the faults come back the garage is were i would go ,

I kept the codes on there I've rang the dealer who I got it from gave me 28days warranty and I've got 2 weeks left! Said i want them fixed!

thats the right way to do it check it is covered by warranty and get them to fix . see if you can get a Scan done the morning you go to them to show whats wrong
