Where can I find a driveshaft for a 2004 3.0 V6 Cabriolet (Auto)?

I understand that they are model specific and not as interchangable as one would imagine....

Breaker, VAG Parts or Audi Dealer

The latter two should guarantee you the correct part. You may not be so luck with a breaker.

I'd bypass 'A' and go to 'B' or even (god forbid!) 'C'!!

It's only an old banger you've got there, isn't it?

BUB ;)

Bubstar....think I might be better off with a Skoda!

Main Dealer....yikes!.....better give the bank manager a call!!! Thing is, not sure if I have many options left as I have tried quite a few Breakers.

Got one!!!.....from a breaker, just as I was about to give up and ring the main stealer!

How much did you save compared buying a new shaft from Audi?

What!? A shaft from Audi is over £300?!! Are you sure?

Or did the breaker pay you to take the SH one away?

FYI, I priced a front shaft for my car today and it was £267 inc vat

BUB :uhm:

Just 'cause you've got a 3.0 doesn't mean you have to go for the gold plated driveshafts :p

Seriously, how much did Audi want for a lump of metal? Or, was it the prop shaft to the rear wheels you were after?

Got quoted £380 by Audi for N/S Front Shaft. Ended up paying £117 all in for one that had done 20k miles from a Breaker. Starting to realise why everyone keeps saying owning an Audi isn't cheap!!! But the feeling I get from the 3.0 V6 kind of makes up for it :)
