Heater possible prob ?

Hi any help or ideas on this much welcomed. My 99 S3 runs at 90 deg with no probs but the car heater seems to always run cold and takes ages to put any hot air in the cabin. I have changed the thermostat a while ago and thought maybe the air con control unit in the dash maybe at fault ? it also has the display starting to show weird things ? the odd red pixel here and there ?

I'm no pro so could be wrong but wouldn't this be a problem with your heater matrix?

yes also thought of this any idea on possible cost of replacing the part ?

Sorry not a clue. Might be an old thread some where on here though.
