turbo problems

just about to buy an a4 1.9tdi avant with 90k on the clock.full audi service history with cambelt change.have been told that the turbos tend to blow around this mileage,is there any truth in this as being the norm or is it just a case of varying from car to car?

As far as i know, mine is on its first rurbo, at 138k miles. Others should confirm this with there's too. I have heard of them go, but I don't think it's common

I hope not! Mine is on 91k!!

never heard of this. turbos are like any other part the harder its life the earlier they break.
