    2001 1.8t quattro (180) Rear Silencer

Yeah. I knew that the turbos were different making the pipes not interchangeable. I'm going to hunt a few breakers and I'll be near Glasgow next weekend so I'll have a hunt there too . Cheers

Hi all, I'm looking for a rear silencer that will fit straight onto my A3. Not looking for sports necessarily and original is too much money for me at the moment . Any suggestions for a cheaper alternative ? I spotted a used S3 pipe on eBay but it'seems too far away . . .would it fit ? Also...

A3 1.8T Quattro 2002 Front Outer CV Joint - where to buy?

Hi All, I've been hunting around for a good quality CV Joint but my usual go to suppliers have struck out. Euro Car parts, GSF etc . . .none seem to stock them. Do I have no option other than to buy the complete driveshaft? I can get a budget one from J&R but I've used their stuff before and it...

A3 1.8T (180) Quattro - CV Joint Gaiter (Outer) & Rear Shock Absorbers

Hi All, I just changed my rear brake Calipers, Discs and Pads (bleeding it was fun!!) and whilst I was there I noticed a couple of issues which will need sorting for it's next MOT. The Outer CV Joint (Front Near Side) was starting to split. Both rear shockers are a bit rusty - though not...

Clutch hunting - gear linkage choice

Thanks again. Next question is how many teeth? 5 or 10? Both are for ARY engine codes but there is £100 of a difference. . . .no doubt it'll be the more expensive one but just want to check. I'll try and post the link to Carparts for less below http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/flywheel

Clutch hunting - gear linkage choice

I was told to contact you regarding what set up is recommended for the 1.8T (180) Quattro. I fear I emailed another Tuffty :-$ I have no plans on remapping or anything like that so I'm just debating whether to refit a DMF or do a single mass conversion. My mate is a master tech at Audi and of...

Clutch hunting - gear linkage choice

Hi all, I've recently bought an 2001 A3 1.8t Quattro (180) that needs a dmf. When looking around for the best deal on a dmf I was asked if my car had a cable gear change or a linkage. I've had a look and it's definitely a cable but should it make a difference to the clutch and flywheel? Even...

Hi Tuffty, a member told me I should speak to you regarding the clutch and flywheel for my 2001 A3 1.8T Quattro. It's the usual conundrum as regards solid or dmf? What are you running? or what would you recommend? Cheers Gordon

A3 Quattro Clutch / Flywheel Manuals

Hi All, I'm new to the A3 scene having just bought a 2001 A3 Quattro 1.8T (180) which needs a flywheel. Having looked through various posts I'm nearly positive that I will put a solid flywheel back on in place of the DMF. Is this still the current train of thought? If so where should I get the...
