Most probably the DB is up the spout again.I can't even log on to the app!
I'm guessing it's a database sync issue. But it shows how woefully bad the dev team on the app are when they can't even handle an account creation. I use to do C++ in Investment Banking and you'd lose your job pretty quickly if you coded to this level.
Will have a look later and post. What software version?

yeah I had 3691 on my previous RS3 and I remember having it blackscreen once.
I have 3801 now and don't have that specific problem anymore (have a few others).
Could have been a faulty MMI though and not software related.
Any car with 36XX and above is setup for OTA updates but I'm guessing Audi UK have zero plans to activate that in the UK yet.
Has it done it more than once? Might have just locked up? See if dealer can log a fault and if 3801 software is offered?
Does that mean the only way to update it is to take it to a dealer?yeah I had 3691 on my previous RS3 and I remember having it blackscreen once.

Are you sure about that regarding OTA updates? At this point in time yep dealer only
Whether Audi UK turn on OTA updates in the future who knows!

I'm sure mine said something about 'Latest sat nav map installed or updated' last week
Can we expect newly built cars to be on the latest version out of the factory? Or are the cars delivered to the dealers and they are the one updating the MMI & modules?Sat Nav is on OTA update, MMI / any module update are still needing a dealer / Odis visit.
I was talking to a retrofitter friend and he told me the latest software updates for various modules takes……10 hrs.

Was it quite cold at the time? I've found that they do that occasionally when relatively cold, but if it wasn't then I'm not sure I'm afraid. I'm sure that expensive TV's would do similar if they were also turned on at 0-5°C like the VC is, but most people's houses don't get that cold on a regular basis to test it.Here's a new one: Noticed some MMI light "bleed" on my display. By bleed I am referring to classic LED light bleeding/blooming where the area around the pixel is lit white, soft and fuzzy. This was definitely a thing when LED's were coming out years ago. There is one spot to the right of my fuel level where it gets pretty obvious. I'm not sure it's worth doing anything about but it's a little annoying given the high price of the car. If I had purchased a TV and noticed that area like that, I would return it for another one. Not as easy with a 70k car.
No, it's not cold. It definitely looks like a slight defect in the LED screen around the fuel line. The idea of asking for a new screen over such a small thing is exhausting. Will probably have to fight my OCD on this one.Was it quite cold at the time? I've found that they do that occasionally when relatively cold, but if it wasn't then I'm not sure I'm afraid. If your car was built recently and is MY23 or nearly MY23 it will be shipping with 3801 like mine. Still buggy though and no dealers rarely flash anything unless they have been instructed to by Audi. Can we expect newly built cars to be on the latest version out of the factory? On my screen the left hand side is a bit looser than the right side so if you tap on the left you feel the screen move a bit and tap on the right its solid. Here's a new one: Noticed some MMI light "bleed" on my display. Thanks. I'll check it out. The bleed is right at the end of the fuel gauge (right side). It's funny but when I change view and make the fuel gauge magnified, the bleed is there as well and its even worse. But leaves the area where the original fuel gauge was.On my screen the left hand side is a bit looser than the right side so if you tap on the left you feel the screen move a bit and tap on the right its solid.
Tapped a few other A3 8Ys and they all do the same thing though.
Also and Im sure you've done this, but some of the graphics on the screen have a fade pattern that might be mis associated for light bleed.
Go into settings and then screen maintenance and cleaning I think that keeps the panel lit whilst you clean it so you can look at it with just a black lit screen?
When you say MY23 when is that for as mine got delivered to dealers last week and registered today on a 72 plate

What are the differences between Model year 22 and 23? Since mine just finished building, that's cool that I get a 23 I guess? If it was built after May / June then yes

Don't know of any changes to be honest. The only difference I found was that newer cars seem to have the wireless charging pad that was previously removed due to chip shortages, allegedly. What are the differences between Model year 22 and 23? I had it in my spec in Poland, got a fully custom order as we don't have things like you guys do. (Launch Edition/Carbon/Vorsprung)Don't know of any changes to be honest. That's good then, I think it's much better being able to spec individual options.I had it in my spec in Poland, got a fully custom order as we don't have things like you guys do. (Launch Edition/Carbon/Vorsprung)
Yes and no, it probably pushed back my build date a fair amount of time due to the stuff I threw in thereThat's good then, I think it's much better being able to spec individual options.
A lot of people here don't even have build dates so if you get one then you're ahead of most in the UK anyway.Yes and no, it probably pushed back my build date a fair amount of time due to the stuff I threw in there
Got my car today
Lane assist on country roads is scary as. I had 15 miles back from the detailers, wrestling with the car. And as I hadn't driven it before had no idea how to turn it off. I was taught to see as far round a corner as possible and never cut the corner. Guess what lane assist does!
The only other issue is that MyAudi tells me my house isn't a safe place to park!
Software version 3801
It also doesnt like cyclists, just as you move over a little to pass them it steers you back towards themGot my car today
