Hi all last week had interval oil inspection and Haldex change at Doncaster Audi few advisory rear tyres 2.5mm offside ball joint coming away housing. Brakes ok but need looking at soon. Said tyre pressure checked.
Last week long drive to Blackpool and could feel vibration in the seat like the wheels were riding over a load of pebbles. Appreciate sports suspension but this felt not nice at speed of 60 to 70 when put foot down felt worse - I thought it was uneven Road surfaces
Anyway missus drove on a newly laid duel carriageway to work and said car felt horrible and vibrating - not steering wheel but car in general, feels it in her legs she does same commute never said anything. Any ideas ? Car just doesn’t feel right after service. Wheel bearing? Wheel balance come off maybe or linked to ball joint n brakes ?
TIA

How they let the car go with a ball joint supposedly coming away is little questionable.

If it's the case then fix that 1st then see how it drives, it's quite important that's running to spec.

Thank you yes that was what I was thinking to look at first. My son sat in rear says he felt it wobbling tonight so would that play in joint make it all feel unsteady? Ta

The ball joint comment from the dealership does seem most strange and I'd want the actual problem defined and repaired as necessary. Otherwise my thoughts on the vibration at the back of the car would be (a) wheel balance is out; maybe lost a balance weight. 60 miles/hour, for some reason, is the typical speed to induce serious wheel balance vibration. (b) I'd carefully examine the tyres themselves. Physical damage, such as damage to the tyre walls from kerbing may cause this sort of problem.

Cheers I’m going to get it checked over by my local mechanic let him drive it
Externally wheels not curbed
Thanks for the tips

Ps the technician wrote this on video cam
OSF lower arm bush coming away- advise change both

Update i called Audi and they said they took it for a short road test as part of interval service Inspection
My garage looked today and I was shocked
Rear driver wheel has bulges almost most of inner tyre we drive careful and my garage said this hasn’t happened overnight and should have been picked up by Audi not happy as kids in car and luckily didn’t have a blow out.
Thoughts and what next ? Speak service manager ? Pics I’ve tried to capture best as can unfortunately the Audi cam only seems to show the tyre section that was not damaged
