anyone have vorsbrung close build date?
i contacted dealer today to order one but now they told me they order 30 of them and most have september build date

i suspected it was the Dealers too.
You’d imagine they’ll be keen to get the vehicles to Dealership asap at the moment so let’s see how things pan out this week :)
You would think they would to get the targets but they’ll all be thinking about Xmas doos :sex:

Not got a Vorsprung but CB. My son’s dealership have over 30 orders but none have build dates. He reckons mine & his will be June deliver, but that’s just a finger in the air guess. As I said in a previous post, I’m not stressing and just means more time to play in my Mk5 GTi ED30 which is going to R tech in Jan for stage 3 Venom 450 Hybrid turbo. Oh and to source the interior parts to mod to European spec

cheers mate.
****** hell that looks good all shined up doesn’t it.
Maybe I’ve saved Daytona till the right moment as it really suits the lines of this car.
Looking forward to seeing mine with the carbon bits and black roof.

no idea why Audi went with these ‘graphic stickers’ ... plain gloss black would have been perfectly suitable
I feel like those stickers really bring the look of the car down. They’d look amazing just plain black gloss.

l like the Graphic signature at least they give the wheels some dimensional structure.... matte/satin black effect alloys visually shrink the the size of the wheel....as from a distance you cannot tell where the tyre wall begins/where the wheel ends

Yes, this is my my gripe with all black wheels. When I have had them they've always had a silver lip or rim edge, just defines the wheel edge so much better. Plus they also 'grey' the tyres, which, IMO doesn't look great.

It would be super easy to get a silver border on the outside of the alloys add by a diamond cut repair place. Probably not very expensive either for such a small area.

May aswell just curb them and get the same looking effect for free.

It tends not to work like that even for a small repair, they want to strip wheel, paint wheel, turn wheel in lathe for the diamond cut bit and then laquer the whole wheel

Or take out wheel insurance and kerb one wheel lightly and have the wheel centre say ''We cant match that mate, we need to do all 4!'' Happy Days

He seems to like it. Also nice to hear he can tell the difference immediately compared to an 8V (albeit with different tyres).

Considering he’s owned 8V’s, it says a lot when after driving he states that at some point in the near future he will be buying an 8Y.

For sure, since he drove there in an 8V so was the definition of a back to back!

Had an email today from the dealer asking if I’d consider collection late December as it’s now showing as status shipped!

I've got a feeling there's a few of us who will be getting asked this in the next day or so, as Dec figures are always bad, let alone in chipgate times.

I'm not holding my breath, but if cars are landing yesterday/today at Grimsby, the dealers will be all over the logistics.

yes I thought the same.

do you think a Dec 21 registered car could be worth less than a Jan 22 registration a few years down the line ?

I just wonder if the year change could trigger a better residual ie 2022 car vs 2021 or will it just be a regular month drop do you think ?

I would hang out for a January delivery as it will be a 2022 registered car.
