I seem to recall, and I may be wrong and it may not apply to Audi, but some cars have a system where they momentarily apply the brakes in heavy rain to keep the disks and pads free of excess water so that when you need them they work as expected. If Audis do have that feature then it may be...
If you don't want to buy VCDS or OBD-II then the Carista OBD device (available from Amazon) will allow you to put the brake in the service position at a much lower cost
If I am reading it right and the last line shows the battery voltage then it is below 12v and should be around 12.7v if the battery is in good condition. Low battery voltage can throw all sorts of random errors
Yes an SE would be softer, however it is quite possibly the tyre/wheel choice on the car. As standard the SE came with 225/55 R17 and the S-Line 245/45 R18 wheels. The 20" wheels 235/35 R20 were standard on the BE. Dropping down to the 18" combination would probably make a significant...
As it is a specific chargeable item I would expect it to be shown in the service history. Is the dealer you are asking the same one that did all the servicing on the car? If not may be worth contacting the servicing dealer. Alternatively perhaps the dealer selling the car would be willing to...
Transmission fluid is due at 38k miles or 4 years. I would have expected that to have been done at the December 2020 service at the latest. If it was done then then it would then be due again at the end of this year. Brake fluid is every 2 years so well overdue. Should also have had a diesel...
Wouldn't have thought so. Changes in VCDS tend to be functions that are software enable and this is a hardware feature with a physical switch. It is not like older generations of A6s (C5 if I recall), where the heated mirrors were on all the time. I had an A4 with this "feature" and it had...
Not sure which fuse it would be, sorry. One option to test where the problem is would be to remove the mirror glass (see sticky at top of this forum about replacing mirror caps to see how to do this). Then using a multimeter you could see if there is current flowing to the mirror when you...
If both are not working I would suspect either a faulty switch or fuse. If both mirror glasses have burnt out then that will be an expensive fix as you have the dimming function as well which ups the price significantly.
If that is the original battery then it almost certainly is a contributing factor, if not the issue itself. If you do a direct like for like replacement then you can usually get away wothout having to recode the battery the car
Or even more likely the battery needs replacing. In the vast majority of cases a large number of random and seemingly unconnected errors is found to be the battery. Modern cars are very susceptible to battery condition and the A6 seems to be more so than most. If the battery voltage drops...
I have seen uneven temperature like this posted on a number of forums in the past (probably this one as well) and I think the common cause is an issue with the flap that control flow of warm air. Suggest you try searching on here and also the C7 sections of vwaudiforum and audiworld
Have you tried emailing them? I have found they are very helpful if you ask the question "will this work with my car?" They will probably need the VIN for your car
The A6 never had the adaptive dampers that Audi offered on some other model ranges (TT for instance). The suspension options for an S-Line BiTDi were, standard Sports (1BE) suspension, and optional S-LIne Sports suspension (1BV) or the Adaptive Air Suspension (1BK). In addition there was the...
Don't know where you are located but maybe someone like https://www.hazzydayz.com may be able to help. I have no affiliation or experience of them, just recall others talking of them with good expire new in the past
I had a similar problem with my 2015 A6, fortunately at the time it was under warranty and the dealer fixed it. If I recall correctly they thought it was the AdBlue pump but in the end they had to take it for a drive and after about 30miles it suddenly cleared and did not return before I...
RLB gearbox is an S-Tronic so therefore is indeed a DSG. The recommended service interval for these boxes is every 38,000 miles or 4 years, so yours would be due its 4th service.
