1. Vauxhall Corsa Active 1.2 (09) [Red] - Technically not mine, was my missus' before I had enough of it..
2. Audi A3 Sportback S-Line 1.4 TFSI COD (16) [Black] First car I've ever purchased and to date the best purchase I've ever made.
Hi all,
As much as I love my 11 month old A3, my biggest bug bear has been the MMI and more recently the AMI cable for my iPhone 6. I have the yellow grommet cable which was supplied to me when I picked the car up last October. I've had one or two issues with the MMI not updating or displaying...
Not too long after I picked mine up I had another black A3 follow me for a while. Took me a while to realise that it was also an S-Line and then saw they had also gone for the BSP! Was a 65 plate too so must have been a few weeks old at the time too! Ended up following me down the A249 then when...
Only experienced a crackle once, it sorted itself out but came at a time I was showing my mate the sound-system after bigging it up :D
There have been a few threads on here about causes/remedies.. apologies don't have the links to hand
It's strange, with my iPhone plugged in, I have to press shuffle on it after I've plugged it in due to no option. When an iPod is plugged in, with the same cable, the random playback option appears.
Yellow cable as mentioned above. I use my iPhone all the time but I do find the MMI to crash, not keep up or not recognise the phone on a more regular basis that I find comfortable. I'd try sticking to an SD card - I'm currently in the process of switching over
Yeah, been doing some research and found a couple of places near me that I may take it to, just to get a quote. I've been trying to ignore it but once you know it's there, it's a struggle to forget it! Glad yours is back to looking good again!
I find myself suffering the same problem but it only seems to happen when my iPhone is plugged in via cable. If the missus' iPod is in, it seems to work fine.
Thanks for the reply and suggestion. Will definitely look into that! Was a last minute decision to use the car so tried to make use of various blankets but still managed to damage it!
Hi all,
Has anyone had to have any interior repair work done at all? Unfortunately had to use the car to take stuff to the dump (absolutely fuming at the other half :D ) and noticed there are a couple of rips in the fabric around the door. Nothing too major but it's killing me inside knowing...
How long after you've bought a new car would you expect to start seeing some rust around the wheels/brake area? My A3 SB is just over 3 months old and I've noticed the back wheel on the drivers side has a 4 to 5 inch wide patch which is glaringly orangey-brown! I've been getting it cleaned...
My A3 Sportback was in the country on the 26th Sept and I was driving it on the 11th Oct, though I'm sure it could have been sped up had I been able to get to the dealership midweek. Not sure if it's different for an S3, highly doubtful though.
I think B&O will remember the previous setting up to a certain point, so not to scare the hell out of you. I always turn mine down before I get out for the night but whenever I pop to the shops and have it over 20, it will always return to 15 or 20 when I get back in.
 I got one on the way back from Bedford Audi after picking mine up. I paid for two trips of the car I exchanged, completely forgot about coming back in a brand new car!
I just turn it off and on again. Sometimes switch the ignition off, take the cable out and then try again but this has a lower success rate.
Not that I've found, not for an iPhone anyway. Only way is I select the playlist I want on my phone before plugging in, once it plays, press the shuffle...
Hi Lauster,
I was going to suggest turning your phone off and on, it's how I fix mine. I think it's the only downside I've found since taking order in October. It can be very temperamental, it even crashed the first time I tried using it! Not going to let it affect me though! Hope you are...
Not so much an option, as it comes as standard, but I wish I had paid a bit extra for metallic paint as Brilliant Black marks so easily, despite being extra careful. Heated seats could have saved me a little bit of money as I don't use them but I know the other half does!
