Hi all,
My 15 plate A3 2.0 TDI 8V manual 6 gears got to 77K miles with no issues until today. On a return journey of 50 ish miles, 5 miles before home at a roundabout I noticed my clutch was stuck halfway. It was like the whole pedal range was condensed to this half which made the clutch 'bite' very low and at a very narrow point which made me stall the engine a couple of times until I got it going. While in 4th I managed to flick the pedal back to normal and after that, the car worked normally with the clutch 'until I got home.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is it likely it's the slave cylinder? If yes, can someone remember how much they've paid for it? I heard it's very expensive as you might as well replace the whole clutch as well while the box is off.
Cheers!
